I heard a noise
coming from the kitchen.
I hoped
that it wasn't one of those things
that I wouldn't be able to solve myself:
a leaking tap, a broken fridge.
It was a hot cross bun
saying, Eat me.
I was able to deal with that myself.

Bournville is the book I needed to read as I continue to attempt to make sense of these past three years. Grateful to @jonathancoe for the skill and generosity to turn such recent and painful experiences into a story for us to share as we attempt to develop our own narratives.
A lovely gift from the good people at @TPCHealth1@AndrewTPC. Grateful for this and the work we get to do together. Looking forward to reading it and another year of supporting primary care colleagues. ❤️
Twitter feels like a hard place to be at the moment. The wrong voices seem so loud. So much heat. So little light. Thank goodness for Book Twitter. Two recommendations today from @Justacarehomeg1 & @elinlowri set aside for me by the brilliant @DavidsBookshop by return of email 💚
I have been sitting very still all day under a blanket so i feel up to going to my book club christmas party tonight. I'll probably last until 9:30....a far cry from Christmas 2019 when I put my back out dancing to footloose.

What a brilliant bunch! Do consider supporting these wonderful boys challenging themselves to get behind their friends and family members with @Autism With young people like this, we might… just… be alright despite the current generation of grown ups ‘best’ efforts!
Listening to @TheUnthanks beautiful new album, reading @AnnCleeves Vera’s latest adventure (spookily) set in October half term on Holy Island. My body may be on my boring old sofa waiting for the washing machine to finish but my mind is in the North East coast. Reading rocks!
