The search for an oncourse bookmaker association that represents bookmakers and not just the top 5% continues .

For anyone going to @Ascot @AscotRacecourse as one of only a maximum of 3 oncourse books that have consistently offered the best place terms and prices, im delighted to confirm the usual service will be available in TATTS ONLY ( not to be mixed up with other betting rings ) 😎

“What we have to do is protect the punter.” Protect us? From what? You don’t have to protect us from anything other than your decisions. We can look after ourselves thank you. It’s called being a grown up. And if you really think that we need protection betting on a horse race then in this case you failed to do that in every sense. How did you protect the backers of Christmas Day? Or another horse placed? 🏇🙏 thesun.co.uk/sport/39339290/…

Good news for punters that back those all weather horses that double in price then miss the break I'm guessing.

And if you do prefer a civilised bottle of champagne at Epsom? It costs £132 (£31 at Sainsbury's) And it is delivered in a bag. With some plastic beakers. So they don't have to wash a glass. Or because someone is concerned glass ware might be used on someone. They haven't worked out, however, that the bottle itself is effectively a better weapon for hooligans So it's all poorly thought through Honestly? This is exactly the kind of shoddy management and cynical overpricing that sends people to the football. Or the rugby instead. After all, it's cheaper It isn't the racing. It is the racetracks. You're putting people off in droves. Get a grip of yourselves

Just as an explainer whilst I bet on the Oaks (doing some lifting here😉). This is the Derby Festival Zone. Bookies have four figure expenses, and we are all independent/family run businesses. There is literally one man and a dog when they were expecting 10,000 people....

🚨🚨🚨🚨AK Bets Folks🚨🚨🚨🚨 Can't tag as they have me blocked over previous. A member of mine placed a 100 quid bet with them today. 3 minutes before the off. Screenshot etc they have. Bet was referred to a trader. This was a bet of 100 on a 10/11 shot 🤣🤣 It didnt go through and eventually came off as race off.. They went on live chat asked why wasnt bet placed and they said not enough time to review the bet and no bet will be paid. 100 @ 10/11 Now ladies and gentlemen this is the same fella who has his little podcast and talks about everything from Philip Byrnes to fuckin Donald Trump and thinks he is special. 100 on a 10/11 shot needing to be approved 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ladies and gents this is AK Bets 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 A Joke of a firm.

“The checks… will be made in a collaborative way with industry” Anyone thought about asking customers what they want? Or is the GC relying on bookmakers representing their customers?

Comedy gold , the anti gambling commission talking about " the real world " has to be on a par with their moto of " keeping gambling fair and open" and one of the oncourse bookmaker associations motto of " keeping you informed " YOU COULDNT MAKE IT UP ! 😂😂😂

EXCELLENT WORK SD !
All on course bookmakers should pay 1/4 1-4. It does not encourage the public to come racing otherwise.

It doesn't take much to make someone’s day, or even change their life. I never understood why athletes or celebrities choose not to grasp this idea. Grande, Lira. 👏 🔵 🚂

Why is illegal gambling growing? Maybe because “regulated” bookmakers do this to winning customers 👇
