THE HUNTINGTON COUNTY INDIANA NEWS · Steve Harrison · · OPINION... I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in. I bought my property outright for $138,000 in 2001. Now the county says it’s worth $246,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $246,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. And people are starting to notice.

Black rapist "Jusiah Jones" who shoved rocks in his victim's mouth so she couldn't call for help was just released on house arrest... Judge Richard Hersch is responsible
HORRIFIC. Two boys, ages 12 and 13, charged for the BRUTAL R*PE of a 12-year-old girl in Florida. Nelson Nunez and Jusiah Jones reportedly kidnapped the girl after leaving her friend's house, shoved rocks in her mouth to prevent her from screaming, and R*PED her for a half-hour. They are currently being held without bond and are being charged as adults. Where are the parents?!?!

This is Judge Richard Hersch! He is a tiny man with big power. Today, Richard let a black teenager go home from jail. What did the teenager do, you ask? He held down a 12-year-old girl and shoved rocks in her mouth to stop her from screaming while he and his friend raped her.

🚨 Kicked out for her politics? The owners of a Little Rock bakery asked Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave while she was dining—claiming her views made staff feel “unsafe.” Let that sink in. Not behavior. Not disruption. Just… her political beliefs. When did disagreeing with someone become grounds to deny service in America? 👉 Would you support a business doing this—or boycott it? I think we need to boycott.

Mamdani is now offering taxpayer funded babysitting for illegal aliens while he raises taxes on middle class American citizens, defunds the police, and refuses to condemn criminals who attack NYPD cops. Things are going to get so much worse in NYC. Strap in.

This is disgusting. I’m amazed that NYPD officers continue to go to work with a mayor who disrespects them so much. Come to Texas—we #BackTheBlue
Watching officers get pelted with snow while they are out in brutal weather protecting this city should make every New Yorker furious. It is disgusting behavior. And the politicians who constantly bash the police and refuse to have their backs are setting a terrible example. Leadership matters. Tone matters. ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS must speak out and make it clear that attacks on our officers, in any form, will not stand. Back the police. Full stop.

Way to stick up for your police force. NOT!
🚨BREAKING: After calls to hold the attackers of NYPD officers accountable, who were aggressively pelted with snowballs by a mob and injured, NYC Mayor Mamdani doubles down, refuses to push charges against the thugs, calls them “kids,” and dismisses the incident as a “snowball fight.” MAMDANI: "So l've seen videos of kids throwing snowballs at members of the NYPD in Washington Square Park." "Yeah, I don't from the videos that I've seen, it looks like a snowball fight.”

Today it's snow tomorrow is bottles
Today it is snowballs. Tomorrow it could be rocks, bottles, or worse. Statement from SBA President Vincent Vallelong regarding the attacks on NYPD Police Officers in Washington Square Park. Dear Fellow Sergeant, We cannot condemn strongly enough the recent disgraceful and dangerous attacks on NYPD Police Officers while responding to a 911 call in Washington Square Park. While some people may attempt to dismiss this incident as college hijinks or harmless kids throwing snowballs, the deliberate targeting of uniformed Police Officers by hurling objects at them while they perform their lawful duties constitutes an assault. The behavior of the people throwing the snowballs, many of whom are believed to be NYU students, was reckless and unlawful, and put the lives and safety of others at risk. Police Officers exercise extraordinary restraint every day under increasingly challenging circumstances. They are tasked with maintaining public safety in crowded public spaces, often while facing hostility simply for wearing the uniform. When individuals choose to turn a park into a launching ground for attacks on police, they cross a clear line. Today it is snowballs. Tomorrow it could be rocks, bottles, or worse. No worker in this city should be subjected to having objects thrown at them while they do their job — least of all the men and women who run toward danger to protect others. This conduct emboldens further disorder and undermines respect for the rule of law. Perhaps a bigger question is why the mayor and other elected officials were so silent after this incident occurred? Why did we hear nothing from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg or NYU officials? We call on city leadership, prosecutors, and the courts to treat these incidents with the seriousness they deserve. Those who assault Police Officers in any way must face appropriate consequences. Failing to do so sends the message that attacking an officer is acceptable behavior. It is not! The members of the NYPD will continue to serve and protect every New Yorker — even those who show them disrespect. But they deserve the full support of city officials and the public when they are so brazenly attacked. Fraternally, Vincent J. Vallelong President Sergeants Benevolent Association

So i guess in NYC it's ok to attack a cop
Listen up folks - New York City's got a mayor who just watched a mob hurl snowballs packed with ice and rocks at NYPD officers, hospitalizing at least two of 'em, and his big response is "It was just a snowball fight." Are you kidding me? These aren't kids tossing fluffy snow at each other in the backyard. This was a straight-up assault on men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep the streets safe. The video shows the chaos clear as day - officers getting pelted, no back-and-forth fun, just one-sided attacks. And this guy refuses to push charges? That's not leadership, that's betrayal. Americans know the deal - you don't let punks attack the cops and call it cute. Back the blue, lock 'em up, and put America first. Our officers deserve respect, not excuses from some out-of-touch mayor.

Not one democrat stood up to say the first duty of the American government is to protect the American people.
🚨BREAKING: TRUMP Just Set The PERFECT TRAP — And DEMOCRATS Walked Right Into It 🫣 Tonight in the State of the Union, President Trump dropped a masterclass in political chess. He looked every single member of Congress in the eye and said: “So tonight I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration and reaffirm a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement and stand up and show your support — the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” He knew exactly what he was doing. The Democrats — who’ve spent weeks screaming about “dictator” Trump — stayed glued to their seats. Not one stood. Not one clapped. Not one had the guts to publicly choose Americans first. And now the viral clip ready clip is already exploding: Democrats just proved, on national television, that they will not stand for American citizens over illegal aliens. This is political spin. This is a Psyop. This is them Yhis is Trump manufacturing a poliotical attack. The internet is about to eat them alive. Drop 🔥 if you saw the trap RT this everywhere — let every American see what just happened

People today. Did something important happen on 9/11? How soon we forget
If I showed this picture to a person after 9/11 and told them it was New York 25 years later, they would have called me a psychopath
