In 2025, based on recommendations from an MPO study, the @MBTA announced seasonal Saturday bus service to Houghton’s Pond. Starting May 23, with funding from the MPO, service will expand to both weekend days.

This week, we installed urban heat relief structures in Everett as part of our NO-HEAT project, an exciting step forward in addressing the growing risk of extreme heat in the Boston region.
