It’s not a religion. It’s certainly not Christian. LDS is referred to by academics as a “new religious movement,” polite sociological jargon for cult. It’s a more successful sibling to Scientology, Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Moonies. It’s not real.

Interesting that when a society or country becomes too successful or educated (learned), they fall away from God and his commandments, lose their morality, and focus more on themselves and their wants.
But that’s been a problem since the beginning of time.
Deuteronomy 8:10-14
