I am so glad many from this generation wasn't born during slavery. We would still be on the plantations as they would've sold out the slaves fighting for freedom at every turn. As long as they get to eat the crumbs from the table in the big house, they would be fine.

The Million dollar questions: You say its for transit, why is the period unspecified? Why "transit through" Jamaica? Why not send them directly to their countries? Where is the return back to sender clause if their home country refuse them?
Minister of National Security and Peace, Dr Horace Chang has issued a statement on Jamaica’s Third Country National’s arrangement with the United States. He says individuals who may be transferred under this framework are not being brought to Jamaica as permanent migrants. READ his statement in full. #NNN

This statement made me laugh. The funniest part of it is the assertion that the people to be transferred under the arrangement will simply be transiting through Jamaica to other countries. This assertion doesn't answer the following obvious questions: 1. Why do these people need to transit through Jamaica in the first place? If they are not Jamaicans and the intent of the US government is to send them back to their countries of citizenship, why not just send them directly back to those countries? 2. What happens if the countries where these people are citizens refuse to take them from Jamaica? Look her nah, the moment these people have been transferred to Jamaica, you have created facts on the ground. Basically, people will end up remaining in Jamaica permanently, because there is only one reason countries like the US to pursue third country transfer arrangements with comparatively less powerless states like Jamaica; to enable the more powerful state to quickly rid itself of undesirables by dumping them in the less powerful state. Once the people have been transferred to Jamaica, the US will not be taking them back, and when the countries in which these people are citizens refuse to accept some or all of them from Jamaica, the people will be stuck in Jamaica PERMANENTLY!

Is this fake news? This can’t be real. Jamaica is to become a ‘rehab’ for non-Jamaicans who the US consider unfit to remain in the US in exchange for what? Filthy lucre? Say this not so!
Kingston and Washington are expected to begin talks on an agreement first pitched by a senior Jamaican government official that could see the island accepting up to 10,000 non-Jamaicans being deported from the United States. Read more: jamaica-gleaner.com/article/…

This is a sad indictment on what passes for food in the United States. For a country claiming to be the "greatest country" in the world, it puts profits ahead of the wellbeing of its people.
Norway have qualified for their first World Cup since 1998, and the first thing they did was ship in their own cheese, fish and 6,000 oranges. A touching show of faith in the American food supply. Start with the cheese, since they hauled 116 kilograms of it across the Atlantic. Dairy in the United States can come from cows injected with a growth hormone called rBST, which has been banned across Europe for years and does not even have to appear on the label over here. Norwegian cows never go near it, so the players would sooner bring their own. The fish follows much the same logic. A good deal of American tuna is treated with carbon monoxide, sold to the trade under the lovely name "tasteless smoke," which fixes that bright red colour and keeps it looking fresh long after it has quietly stopped being so. Europe banned the practice in 2003, while America still permits it. Then the oranges, all 6,000 of them, because the US happily lets growers spray the skins with Citrus Red 2, a dye the World Health Organisation's cancer agency calls a possible carcinogen, all so a slightly green orange can pass for a ripe one on the shelf. Europe will not let it anywhere near food. So when a side with one shot at a World Cup takes a long look at the local cheese, fish and fruit and flies in a tonne of their own instead, you can understand how they got there. A ringing endorsement of American food, obviously.

FIFA is trying to convince us that this racist gesture is "involuntary." Has anyone who is not a racist ever involuntarily made this sign?

The next @FIFAcom presidential election is on March 18, 2027 during the 77th FIFA Congress in Rabat Morocco. It is all football fans, players, administrators, and sponsors responsibility to ensure that @gianni_infant is NOT reelected. The game belong to us. #FIFAWorldCup2026

First time ever at a World Cup: FIFA forcing 3-min ‘hydration breaks’ in EVERY match, even in air-conditioned stadiums. Officially for player welfare, but we all know it’s ad slots for broadcasters. Turning football into quarters with built-in commercials. Momentum killer. Not a coincidence it happens in the USA.

And THAT from Curaçao 🇨🇼 is what the World Cup is about. Not advertising slots masquerading as hydration breaks, gauche gold FIFA branding everywhere, and exclusion through exorbitant pricing plus ridiculous travel restrictions.

Maybe the football gods do know more than we do. Curacao is representing itself very well so far. How would Jamaica 🇯🇲 have fared. Good coaching makes such a big difference in football. #WorldCup2026

When the French league has midfielders like Bouaddi, Camara and Sangare, there is no need to give in to Premier League inflation and pay £80m for Mateus Fernandes or £125m for Elliot Anderson.

"Go through a lot actually." This is just further confirmation (as if more was needed) that @stephenasmith is a fucking idiot. Kissing Trump's ass worked out so well for him that he moved onto Netanyahu.

Africa’s wealth was stolen for centuries — now they call it ‘foreign aid’ when they return 0.1% of it. Africa's stolen wealth was used to stimulate the economies of many Western nations.
