My question is… if you don’t have the money to stay at Division I, where are the millions of dollars to rebrand coming from? And yes, it costs that much. Ask some of the regional high schools who considered it before realizing how it would impact the budget.

This is pathetic by Saint Francis. How out of touch are these people? Those who made decision don’t care about school’s wonderful tradition. They infuriated everyone by dropping to D3, but finances dictated that. What on earth could have dictated this? Just embarrassing for SFU.

Interesting to see McCort on the list. They could have been 1A last cycle but chose to stay up at 2A. It looked like BG was going up to 2A but didn’t get enough success points and McCort then tried to once again play up to 2A after deadline but was denied. 1 of 2…

Wow.. PIAA Board amends motion… The four District 8 schools requests to move up are approved. The other four schools request to voluntarily move up has been denied. (22-8)

Not saying McCort wanting to go up to 2A the last two years and then being OK going down to 1A this year and suddenly changing to trying to go back to 2A (and not being successful) is related to BG’s status, but it begs the question.
