For what will probably be a very short time, I'm wide open to professional opportunities as long as they're in service to the greater good!

Don't be shy: I'm ready for my next chapter! I bring a lot of organizational and political relationships with me, and a network of do-gooders . . . but I only connect folks with the intention of making a positive impact. Snatch me up and let's make our communities better for all!

Grateful for the armed guards at Temple Israel. This attack highlights a disproportionate burden American Jews have carried for decades—relying on armed guards just to safely gather at a Jewish place of worship or institution.
Text message to members of the Temple Israel synagogue: "Lockdown is still in place, but the active shooter has been taken down. Lockdown will be in place until they know that the shooter was working alone. All kids and all staff accounted for and fine. Truck rammed into front door and opened fire." detroitnews.com/story/news/l…

Last month, SC Rep. @JosiahMagnuson helped shoot down a security grant bill for places of worship (SC Pray Safe Act) because he was worried satanic temples would also apply for the security grants. There are no satanic temples in SC, but there are synagogues. Think about that.

And this weekend I will still be bringing my 2 year old niece to synagogue, where we'll walk by paid security guards so we can pray with our eyes closed.

The frantic texts and calls during a synagogue shooting have become far too common for the Jewish community. And that fear is precisely the point.

Rep. Andy Ogles tweeted that “Muslims don’t belong in American society.” When members of Congress feel emboldened to engage in blatant Islamophobia and hate, it must be called out. Anti-Muslim bigotry has no place in our politics, our country, or our society.

H. 4145 is a solid bill. The definition of a religious organization is "Religious organizations are defined as “includes, but is not limited to, houses of worship, religious ministries, organizations, social agencies, groups, corporations, educational institutions, and other entities whose principal purpose is the study, practice, or advancement of religion and their officers, owners, clergy, religious leaders, and ministers.”

Jewish and other communities deserve safety, not political chaos. As we've been raising for months, new NSGP conditions are creating confusion and risk. We're grateful to see an increasingly bipartisan call to focus the program on real security. jta.org/2026/02/05/politics/…

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the millions murdered — and confront the normalization of antisemitism, hate, and extremism today. History teaches us: Jewish safety and a strong, inclusive democracy must go hand in hand.

In two domestic policy conversations on Facebook this week, people clicked through to my profile, found out I was Jewish, & decided to mix antisemitism into the points they were making. No one responded to them & Meta decided the comments don't break their community guidelines.

In one case it was a prominent local blogger, who decided to start calling me "Shlomo" inexplicably.

A cultural shift seems to have happened wherein casual antisemitism is no longer socially unacceptable.
