ALT May 1st, 2026 WhiteTPoison: Been toying with storing state in expanded dolphin memory game side instead of relying on Windows functionality. It seems to be working but resims don't tunction as expected and due to size constraints l had to compress state and the compression/decompression algorithms are slowing the game to about 52fps Dan (replying to WhiteT): whats the benefit of doing it with dolphin instead of doing it OS side? WhiteT: No changes to dolphin means it can be plug and play with different versions of dolphin given certain requirements Motobug: also for better macOS/Linux compatibility WhiteT: Got resims working. Also im up to 58fps

ALT May 7th, 2026 WhiteTPoison: Ok so the remaining issue is a niche edge case where current state has memory in state that doesn't exist in a past state that we're rolling back to. Reasoning over how to fix this — Currently what l'm doing is im sending over the current state to the emu side when loading a save state and then sending back to the game these "extra" regions and freeing them. This seems to be the "correct" solution but resim crashes pretty hard I'm also getting a weird issue where music reverbs on boot? No idea what thats about Controller also becomes unresponsive sometimes on resim, which suggests to me a desync Could just be as simple as the test I setup doesn't account for inputs on resim... Hmm yeah thats probably it. Next step is probably to hook up the networking again and see what happens lol
