At our Annual Prize Giving Ceremony, we celebrated the successes & achievements of our pupils. The children have worked so hard & shown true dedication & commitment to their studies this year & achieved such phenomenal results. We are very proud of each and every one of them!

Last week we had 2 amazing evenings of our Y6 production of A-ladd-in-Trouble, with outstanding performances from all of the children. We certainly do have some Breaside talent again this year! The set, the action, the props & the makeup made it seem like we were in the West End!

Our Summer Fair was a huge success this year, everyone was relaxed and enjoying each other’s company, whilst having lots of fun! Thank you to our Friends of Breaside (FoBs) Team for all their organisation, it was a fabulous afternoon!

At our Art Exhibition yesterday, the children loved seeing their pictures on display and seeing the artwork of the other children in school. They should all be very proud of themselves!

Huge egg-citement as chick & duck eggs arrived last week! All eggs hatched successfully & Y2-Y6 learnt about the life cycle of a duck, observed & carefully handled the ducklings in their science lessons. All ducklings & chicks have now returned to their farm.

It was wonderful to welcome so many lovely families to our Open Morning today. The sun shone and our Year 5 & Year 6 pupils loved showing our visitors around our school! We look forward to seeing you all again soon! #cognitaway

Y5 showed what talent we have at their Coffee Concerts this week! Solo singers, drummers, violinists, cellists, flautists, pianists, a guitarist, trumpeter & violist! Performances were impressively high and confident. Lovely to see how encouraging they were to each other too!

This week we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week. We talked about the importance of positive mental health & how it can be achieved! We had a ‘Wear it Green’ Day to raise awareness - it was wonderful to see the creativity in what the children chose to wear for the day!

Our amazing ‘King Charles III Coronation Celebrations’ that took place last week celebrating this historical event! Every year group took part with singing, dancing and poetry reciting following a wonderful ‘Traditional Afternoon Tea’ prepared by our Chefs in the kitchen.

Despite the weather we held our annual Easter Bonnet Parade & as always there were so many amazing creations! It was the hardest job to choose winners this year, they were all so unique and beautiful. Well done to everyone, as they truly were all fantastic!

Children from Reception to Year 6 enjoyed a Maths Puzzle Challenge. Working in teams they used their problem solving & teamwork skills to solve tricky puzzles. All the children had a fantastic time and it was great to see them using their knowledge in an interactive and fun way!

Our Y6 Girls Football team played a match against Crofton Primary. Some fantastic dribbling and scoring by our midfield players and strikers, and our defenders were superb! We won the match 3 -0 but more importantly we worked well as a fabulous team and really enjoyed playing!

Two Y6 girls teams played a friendly Netball tournament against Farringtons, Blackheath High, Farnborough & Babington House. The competition was tough but we tried hard and had fun whilst playing some great games of Netball. Well done to all the participants.
