Going to miss the capstone experience and all the cool people I’ve met along the way. I encourage all the #ENVIR490 students to take away as much as you can from the #POEcap experience because it comes and goes very quickly. Good luck to everyone in #ENVIR492! I’ll miss you all!
Congratulations to all the top ten poster presenters as well as all the people who did lightning talks! You all made the symposium very fun and entertaining! Good luck to everyone going forward. #ENVIR492#POEcap
I didn’t get the chance to see this presentation during symposium day 1, so I’m really excited to see it tomorrow. Be sure to visit @lin2500 at the symposium day 2! #ENVIR492#POEcap
Excited to share my poster presentation “Return to Equilibrium: Monitoring the Recovery of a Salt Marsh in Kingston, WA” at the 2nd night of the Capstone Symposium tomorrow! Hope to see you all there 🙏🏼🙏🏼 #envir492#poecap
Come watch my symposium presentation tomorrow about Dungeness crab conservation! I will be presenting in breakout room #2 for anyone who is interested. I'm excited to present and see everyone else's presentations as well. #ENVIR492#POEcap
I can’t believe some of us are graduating in a couple weeks! I still need to prepare more for the symposium but I’m feeling confident! #ENVIR492#POEcap
I would like to thank @PNWCrab and @pseanmc for providing me with a very fun and interesting internship, as well as helping me throughout the internship. I would also like to thank @twelchuw @angaliotto and @carinabaxter36 for being excellent fellow interns. #ENVIR492#POEcap
I found this extinction map posted by @KieranSuckling very shocking. It’s a shame how much of a role humans have to play in biodiversity loss all around the world. #ENVIR492#POEcap
Poster presentation rough draft completed. Did anybody else have trouble fitting all their content onto one poster? By the time I was on my broader significance section I didn’t have much space left. #ENVIR492#POEcap
Take a look here at some of the research @PNWCrab has been doing over the summer. I’m very thankful to have been part of the crab larval monitoring project going on in the Puget Sound! #ENVIR492#POEcap
After meeting with @pseanmc I have successfully written my final synthesis paper. I had to make some minor tweaks to my research question, but my synthesis is still very relevant nonetheless. Huge weight off my shoulders! #ENVIR492#POEcap
Struggling to come up with a good synthesis draft now that I don’t have the proper data to back my research. Should I completely change the course of my research or make small tweaks to the outline? @pseanmc any ideas? Thanks! #ENVIR492#POEcap
Recently learned that a good majority of my data generated from my internship is insignificant. Now I might need to change the entire direction of my research this late in the quarter. Love that for me! 🙃 #ENVIR492#POEcap
Here is a link describing the different crab species you can find on Washington’s coasts. This link is helpful for my research because I came in contact with many of these crab species during my time with PCRG. #ENVIR492#POEcapwdfw.wa.gov/fishing/basics/c…
#CAPCON yesterday was a good time. Had lots of really interesting conversations with #ENVIR490 students regarding internships and the capstone process as a whole. I hope the meet and greet goes well for everyone and I hope my advice helped people! #ENVIR492#POEcap
For anyone interested in working with @PNWCrab or having @pseanmc as your site supervisor, check out this website! The larval crab study section gives a good overview on what the internship entails, pnwcrab.com/programs. #ENVIR492#POEcap
Sneak peak of my visual aid throw down! The image on the left shows a Dungeness crab juvenile while the image on the right shows a shore crab adult. Notice how shore crab adults are much bigger than Dungeness crab juveniles, thus being the more dominant species! #ENVIR492
