« Great things are done by a series of small things brought together. » -Vincent Van Gogh This is definitely how I roll. I create recording a series of moments over time that are brought together in the different layers, colours and marks of my artwork.… ift.tt/2Wzyyhk
I have been collecting vintage books for quite some time. Just found the “Breton Adventure” title last week. I think this will be the beginning of this little madame Breton Adventures with using books in collages. ift.tt/38B30dm
Finally got enough courage to cut up a vintage postcard!!! I have been collecting paper ephemera for years but was paralyze when it came to using it. Somehow, I felt like I was destroying an important part of history. I am happy to report that this sliv… ift.tt/39tbXqC
Possibly my favourite mark making tool, charcoal on smooth paper. I just love how it glides over the paper and blends within the fibres. The fact that it is made from tree branches makes all the more exciting especially when it comes in large pieces. I o… ift.tt/2wqpznX

Another perfect dreary weekend for museum and coffee shop hopping. This small mountain town has more coffee shop than you can count (must be because of the dreary part) and one museum. I think this would make for the perfect Saturday while waiting for Sp… ift.tt/39ePWvm

The drying table is stacking up with crazy abstracts waiting to become collages. I know it will be hard to cut some of these up. One of the best/worst thing happening when making art is that you can actually start liking your work before it’s completed. … ift.tt/2HpMQbQ

A lot of people don’t know this but I used to be a Forester. If I could be anywhere right now I would choose Kew Gardens. I just love plants and find nature to be an unending source of inspiration. I also love everything British! Because I can’t be ever… ift.tt/2Uh29em

I think that if I had to choose a favourite painting of mine it would be this one BE YOURSELF. I like working big. It feels like being in the actual painting ratter than observing while working. I hope to make more large scale artwork outdoors once the … ift.tt/2GjEim8

Bold strokes of colour for collage. These are quite addictive as there is no end to what you can create and combine. I like using different support material and see how they interact with each other creating a more textural artwork. I have also been exp… ift.tt/2tcsQWr
I don't paint things. I only paint the difference between things. -Henri Matisse Did you know that Matisse ran a small art school in Paris? He would only accept students who were ready to unlearn all they knew. I can’t even imagine what it would be lik… ift.tt/2sQU8BQ
“Impressionism is the newspaper of the soul.” - Henri Matisse As an artist I owe a lot to those who have come before me. Who have been brave in doing what felt right as opposed to what was expected. My wish for 2020 is simply to have the courage to foll… ift.tt/36ntUW2
