I’m proud to share my new campaign website.
It’s a place to learn more about why I serve, how the Court works, and what I’m focused on as we head into 2026. Take a look and please consider joining Team Busby!

Texas continues to lead the country in job growth and economic opportunity.
As our state grows, courts are often asked to resolve increasingly complex disputes involving business, infrastructure, and employment. Texans deserve a legal system that approaches those cases carefully and applies the law consistently.
Confidence in the rule of law helps keep Texas moving forward.

Each year on Flag Day, we honor the symbol of our nation and the freedoms it represents.
The American flag reminds us not only of our history, but of the sacrifices made by generations of Americans who defended the freedoms it represents.
Long may she wave.
Every case that reaches the Court deserves careful attention to the facts, the law, and the Constitution.
Judges should apply the law as written, remain grounded in precedent, and approach every decision with discipline and restraint.
Public confidence in our courts depends on it.
Texas continues to attract businesses, jobs, and investment from across the country.
Courts play a limited but important role in that growth by applying the law consistently and resolving disputes fairly. Stability matters, especially in a fast-growing state like Texas.
That’s part of how we keep Texas strong.

On this day in 1944, Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy.
D-Day was a turning point in history. A day of extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and resolve as more than a hundred thousand troops crossed into occupied France to begin the liberation of Europe. Many never came home.
We remember their bravery. We honor their memory. And we remain forever grateful.
Survivors of sexual assault deserve access to safety, stability, and legal support, regardless of their financial circumstances.
I recently joined Heather Bellino of Texas Advocacy Project to discuss the important role civil legal aid plays in helping survivors obtain protection, navigate the legal system, and find a path forward after difficult circumstances.
For survivors across Texas, simply knowing that help exists can make all the difference.

Serving on the Texas Supreme Court requires careful judgment, respect for the Constitution, and a commitment to applying the law fairly.
Texans deserve courts that are steady, principled, and grounded in the rule of law. I’ll always do my part to make sure you have them.
More than $1 million was raised at this year’s Champions of Justice Gala benefiting civil legal services for low-income Texas veterans.
I was honored to serve as master of ceremonies for this important event hosted by @TexasATJ and @statebaroftexas. Veterans have given so much for all of us, and legal aid can help them with earned benefits, housing, family matters, and financial stability.
Grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s gala such a success.
Serving on the Texas Supreme Court is a responsibility I approach with care and a strong commitment to the Constitution.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve Texans by applying the law faithfully in every case.

Our courts exist to apply the law, not rewrite it.
That requires restraint and a clear understanding of each branch of government. Maintaining that balance keeps the law grounded in the Constitution. That’s how I’ve always approached the job, and how I always will.
Today, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Their sacrifice made the freedoms we enjoy possible. We remember them with gratitude.
Texas’ growth is driving demand for infrastructure, especially in areas like energy.
With that growth comes more complex legal questions. Courts play a role by resolving those disputes and applying the law consistently as Texas continues to expand.

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d one day serve on the Texas Supreme Court.
What led me here was a belief that the law should be applied fairly, and that every person who walks into a courtroom deserves to be heard and treated with respect.
That belief has stayed with me through every stage of my career, and it’s what I bring to the bench every day.
Every case before the Court turns on both the facts and the law. Even small differences in the record can matter.
That’s why careful review and disciplined analysis are essential. It’s how decisions stay grounded in the Constitution.
Texas continues to attract companies and investment from across the country. A fair and reliable legal system is part of that.
As businesses grow here, courts are often called on to resolve complex disputes. Handling those cases with care and consistency helps support continued growth.

Access to justice means more than the outcome of a case. It requires clear processes, timely decisions, and a system people can navigate with confidence.
I’m proud to work with organizations like the Texas Access to Justice Foundation to expand that access, especially for veterans and their families.

The role of a judge is defined by the Constitution and the law, not personal views or outside pressure.
Every case requires close attention to the record, respect for precedent, and careful judgment. That’s how the law stays steady and dependable.
Texas’ economy continues to grow, reaching a new milestone of $2.9 trillion.
Growth like this depends on many factors, but a fair and reliable legal system is part of it. Courts help by resolving disputes and applying the law consistently.
That kind of stability helps keep opportunity strong across Texas.
