Let's make something awesome!
Hey @AmericanAir
My checked bag never came back with me from Zurich to Philadelphia. There were several of us whose bags were checked in but never loaded on the flight. Any help?
Why I don't use Gen AI:
I was working on a song that just wasn't coming together. After some thoughts, finally had a spark and I found something that worked. The excitement and joy that comes from plodding until I finally make it work is the reason. Gen AI can't offer that. cont
It's also the improvement and satisfaction that comes with each song being finished. I learn so much each time I work on another song. I get inspired listening to other song writers and I push myself to be better.
The goal is growth and improvement. Gen AI can't offer that.
Since it's been a week, I just want to say how much I have enjoyed BL4 @Borderlands
I've had so much fun exploring the world, playing the missions, and doing the side quests. Absolute huge kudos to all the devs for making such a fun game. I can see the hard work you all did.
DICE DJENT!!
Can't think of a pattern? Randomize it! Check out how I use a D6 to create a breakdown. Feel free to use this idea and create your own patterns and show me what you make.

While I still enjoy the occasional AAA game, I've been getting more and more into indie (genre & actual indie) games. The lower price, the smaller downloads, and the focus on a few core mechanics that they do really well. Cat Quest 2 & 3, Islets, Crypt Custodian.
Islets is free on Epic games. I played it over the weekend and had so much fun! Great music, fun combat, wonderful exploration, and a great cast of characters. Highly recommend. Don't sleep on getting this little indie gem.
PRODUCTION TIP: If there's just one piece of advice I can give to orchestral composers who are just starting to work with synths and designed sounds, it's this: Don't be afraid to start over & try something else!
Sunk-cost fallacy can ruin a potentially great idea :-)
ALT Screenshot of a Reaper project where I tried several things (rendering out to two kinds of tape, using wild plugin chains, trying different octaves, etc.) before landing on *just* the right dusty piano sound for a cue.
Using hardware tape is a huge time-sink, and although it's given me magic before? ...this time it just wasn't working. In the end, a software plugin chain with Decimort 2 was the answer!

This is an amazing list. I use many of the plugins on here and think they are great (both free and paid). I'm definitely interested in checking out some of the others.
1984 VW Rabbit. It was my first car that I owned. Only ever held 3 gallons of gas at a time. Less than half a tank of gas and it would stall on right turns. Wouldn't start on cold days unless you slammed the hood when the engine was cranking.
1993 Ford Aerostar minivan. Got it in 2007, drove for a few years.
If it was cold out, would die on the road mid-drive if you didn't warm the engine up first.
How to tell the engine was warm enough? When the music from the cassette played at normal speed, rather than slowed...
Aldi is great. And Lidl.
If you are fortunate enough to live within driving distance to a farm, check to see if they sell direct. You can get fruit and produce for way cheaper than the store and it tastes so much better. You can buy in bulk and freeze it to last longer.
Hey I know we all hate grocery discourse but I think some of you guys really might not know that most grocery stores and especially places like target have outrageous prices for food. I got an obscene amount of food for my family for like 230. Itβll last 2 weeks.
Aaaahhhh, this makes me so excited. I was hoping there would be more to this game. If you haven't yet, definitely check this game out. So much fun and cheeky humor. I can't wait.
Just when you believed the adventure had come to an end...Behold a new evil riseth.
The Last Hero of Nostalgaia The Rise of Evil is coming to PC, Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch 20 June 2023!
Hi dad. I've been trying for so long to find the words, but I can't. It's been two weeks since you passed and I still can't believe it. I love you and I miss you.
Rest in peace, dad. 8/14/1936 - 5/9/2023
