Escaping my 9-5 by using FBA and FBM. Lots to learn, and lots to do. Follow as I share the ups and downs of learning the process and building my business.
Using your time efficiently can massively increase your businesses output.
This is huge as a 1 person operation.
Here are some time saving hacks I've picked up along the way👇
Pro tip: If you call Seller Support, and Erica picks up the phone, just hang up and call back the next day. I spoke with her for about 1/2 an hour today, and I think the odds of me getting my store back actually got worse. Anyway, enjoy next week. I wish you all much success.
Things I've done today with my seller account deactivated:
1. Clicked unsubscribe to every store promotional email that comes in.
2. Listed a few items on Ebay.
3. Checked my email as much as I used to check Seller Central, hoping for an ALL CLEAR email from Amazon support.
I’ve come to straighten this out in person.
Just kidding. I’m here for an FC tour organized by my kid’s PTA. Was 1000% more excited for this before my account was deactivated.
Even with the dust not yet settled on Section 3 deactivations and brand regating- use this time to get your admin work in order (especially if you haven’t been affected):
- Create an organized system for invoices/receipts
- Get caught up on your bookkeeping (or get started on it)
- Vet your suppliers
- Track returns
- Get an actual idea of brands you’re ungated in (and access how profitable you are in them)
Let this be a reset so you can prepare yourself for the future.
Decided today was a good day to take a sh*t-ton of flattened cardboard to the recycling center. Going to submit my appeal and then hit up the gym before picking my kid up from school. Onward!
My account is deactivated, I have 800 units stranded, I can't make any sales and I can't take any money out, but I STILL have to fulfill these 7 FBM orders today. Good times.
Sent out 7 FBM orders today and already have another 8 that I need to prep for tomorrow. Feels pretty good, except for the part where still I can't request any payouts. #section3limbo
We’re negotiating an exclusive with a grocery brand.
They’re currently doing $2.1M per year on Amazon
But they should be doing $10M.
Here’s our plan to take them to the next level:
These questions are much more prevalent this week. Events this week in the Amazon sellers community underscore the need to diversify beyond a single platform that you ultimately can’t control.
Just had an awesome meet up with three other houston-area sellers at a local brewery! We all started selling this year and are different revenue levels. Lots of great information exchanged.
