I am proud to endorse Toby Doeden for Governor of South Dakota.
I see every day how decisions made in Pierre affect counties, cities, schools, taxpayers, law enforcement, landowners, families, and local communities.
South Dakota is growing, and with that growth come real challenges: rising property-tax pressure, infrastructure needs, public safety demands, land-use conflicts, and the constant need to make sure government lives within its means. These are not abstract issues to me. And I would guess not to you and your family either. They are issues I deal with at the local level every day and affect all of us in some measure in very real ways.
That is why I am supporting Toby Doeden.
Toby is not a career politician. He is a South Dakota businessman who has built businesses, created jobs, and understands that every dollar government spends first came from a taxpayer, a family, a farmer, a rancher, or a small business owner through their hard work, creativity and ingenuity.
I appreciate that Toby is willing to take on the hard issues with bold solutions: property-tax reform, wasteful spending, landowner rights, public safety, constitutional freedoms, data center protections, and making sure rural South Dakota has a strong voice.
We need leadership in Pierre that respects local communities, listens to the people closest to the problems, and remembers that government should serve citizens—not the other way around. The voters have already shown that this message has momentum, and now it’s time to finish the job.
I believe South Dakota needs a governor with backbone and the courage to challenge business as usual. It's time to change the status quo - because it's not working for regular families.
We cannot continue to expect new and more favorable results from the same crew that has been leading the ship of state for decades now. If we want different results, we need different leaders – Toby is that leader.
I’m voting for Toby Doeden, and I encourage my friends and neighbors to take a serious look at him.
