This seems dumb af given amazons ownership stake of anthropic?
Breaking: Amazon CEO Andy Jassy was among the tech leaders who raised concerns to senior Trump officials this week re: security risks in Anthropic's newest models. Those convos set in motion the government's new export controls on foreign national access to Mythos and Fable.

He was one week old you sick f**k
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

I’m sure Wang is really smart and I don’t know jack about building an intelligence lab but how do you not look at meta’s acquisition of Scale AI as the biggest blunder of the past 24 months
JUST IN: Zuckerberg admits Meta made “mistakes” in its AI workforce shift after laying off 10% of staff & reassigning 7,000 employees.

Dario (48 hours ago): “US gov should be able to block model deployment” USG: *export controls models* Dario: “not like that”
The Trump administration has placed Anthropic's Mythos 5 and Fable 5 under export controls. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick sent a letter to Dario Amodei tonight stating that foreign governments, companies, and individuals will no longer have access to either model.

A lot of people seem angry that Elon is now a trillionaire, so it’s worth reminding them that he didn’t achieve this by making anyone else poorer. Wealth isn't zero-sum. Paul Graham explained it well: paulgraham.com/wealth.html

why do this instead of teaching americans how to leverage themselves more effectively into wealth?
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.
