Happy 99th birthday to S2 Harold Bray, the last remaining survivor of USS Indianapolis, sunk by a Japanese torpedo in 1945. CNO extends his birthday wishes to our shipmate Harold, and his immense gratitude to the rapidly disappearing members of America’s “Greatest Generation.”

Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were close friends off screen as well as on. Rathbone referred to Bruce as the "quintessential Dr. Watson" and said (rightfully) that his Dr. Watson was one of the "screen's most lovable characters.”

Ray Anthony is 104 years old. He is the last surviving member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He was married to Mamie Van Doren from 1955-1961.
