Many new folks becoming #pengus these days. Happy to see you finally come around. Took you quite a while but very happy to have you with us🐧 Thing is: Many of you merely adopted the pengu. I was born in it, molded by it. Only the true OGs remember that I used to be a penguin on twitter long before @pudgypenguins – the first good looking penguin NFTs and the first penguin NTF project to mint out –, or @PenguinFightNFT – the first penguin NFT projects with a twitter – or party penguins (commonly referred to as Walmart penguins) – the first penguin NFT project to START their mint – existed. To date my location is still set to "Antarctica" since those early days (X marks the spot - IYKYK) and I used various anime penguin girls as PFPs, most prominently the one shown below (fun fact the artist of this very piece actually released it as a NFT on some tiny Asian art site and I managed to track it down and buy it). As such @pudgypenguins were never merely a trade or a flip for me. I've been calling for "pengu" NFTs before they existed – because I got fascinated by NFTs since 2018, really believed that CUTE penguins – due to being widely adored by most people (except a certain evil korean bot – IYKYK) – are the best interpretation of the animal PFP meta, and simply wanted them because I PERSONALLY love them. In doing so, I have also coined the terms "pengu" and "pengufication" in NFT land. Buying those cute lil pengus as soon as they began to slide onto the ETH blockchain in late July 2021 and holding a very large fraction of them to what are valuations of 400x and higher of my cost basis was not sheer luck, nor was it a ultra smart and calculated financially driven move. I simply LOVE penguins. Without a true passion and interests for both components of what they are – cute penguins and a implementation of a technological construct I have been interested in since early 2018 – I don't think I would have held onto them with such dedication and conviction. If you merely are here to chase financial gains, I do believe you will do quite well, but I doubt you will ever hit insane homerun trades without either passion, genuine interest, attachment to a community, or something alike. Analogous to my penguin NFT buys in 2021, my BTC purchases in 2014 would have never happened without me being deeply involved in internet culture and tech and my genuine interest in what blockchains offered to facilitate. And I certainly would not have held those BTC all the way into the second peak of the 2021 cycle. I am not a bad daytrader but I am certainly not insanely gifted at it either. But while many of you call being "in it for the tech", "in it for the community" or "in it for the art" a meme, these aspects are exactly where most of my biggest gains in crypto land stem from. It's also what made me stay in this space for what's about to be a decade and enjoy my entire journey through many bears and bulls w/o many real breaks. $TAO really strong move today. Decentralized AI is still a really good narrative for this cycle and TAO was formerly 1 of the leaders in that category. Venice has taken its spot recently but we're about to see if there's any follow up for TAO and if it recovered from all the fud from before. No position for me but it was nice seeing a bounce from that high volume node. Would consider buying dips

$BTC Based on every previous cycle, once the capitulation candle forms (the major cycle low), the sweep of that low has historically marked the bottom. We've already seen that sweep. The capitulation low has been taken. The only thing that doesn't quite fit is the timing. Historically, bear market bottoms have formed around Q4, not Q2. So the question becomes, do you trust the price action more, or the timing more? At some point, one will break. We're only a few months away from the traditional timing window anyway, so it would be somewhat ironic if the market bottomed earlier than expected, just as it topped earlier than many anticipated. The price action is already showing characteristics we've seen at previous cycle lows. The debate now is whether timing matters more than what the market is actually doing.
