Farnham Park was the destination for GB Baseball’s first-ever WBSC sanctioned event, meaning the results of the weekend would have a direct impact on the world rankings. Alongside a development side, the British roster hosted a familiar foe in the Czech Republic National Team as well as Baseball For All – a team from the United States of America, led by pioneer Justine Siegal.

Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June marks @MLB PlayBall Weekend, a weekend dedicated to children playing baseball across the globe. After recently returning from Spring Training in Holland at the Amsterdam Pirates baseball complex, where the @GB_Baseball Women’s National Team - along with members of the development squad - were joined by the Quebec Women’s Baseball Academy, the British Baseball Federation and Great Britain Baseball Team are pleased to announce the 26-player extended roster for this year’s WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Qualifiers, which will take place in Chinese Taipei this August.

His courage, resilience, and undeniable talent challenged long-standing racial segregation in professional sports and inspired generations to come. Robinson’s impact and legacy are forever remembered each year on April 15th, now celebrated across Major League Baseball as Jackie Robinson Day, a day when every player wears his iconic number 42 in tribute to his enduring influence.

Player registration for the 2026 BBF Women’s Baseball League is now open. The 2026 league has been designed to be flexible, welcoming and competitive whether you are brand new to the sport or experienced. Events will be held on weekends from May to August with balanced squads being selected from registered players for each event. Over the next two weekends, baseball teams across the country will celebrate their opening days of the ’26 season. We’d like to remind players, coaches, and spectators about the RESPECT campaign. This offseason, 310 newly qualified Level 6 umpires completed courses held nationwide, bringing the total number of qualified umpires in Britain to 518. These new officials, along with those already qualified, deserve respect from everyone involved in the game.
