No healthcare worker should be afraid to go to work or fear being targeted because of their ethnicity. Our health service relies on the dedication of a diverse workforce who make an invaluable contribution to caring for our communities. I stand with all those affected.

Thank you Kieran Cuddihy @rteliveline for the invitation to speak about the real‑world impact of the unrest in #NorthernIreland on cancer patients. People living with cancer don’t need more barriers to life‑saving treatment. Nor do the staff who deliver it. @RCN_NI @healthdpt 🧑‍⚕️

NIPEC support all nurses, midwives and support staff as essential in providing high quality, compassionate care to people across NI, regardless of their background. Everyone has the right to feel valued and no one should fear obstruction going to their workplace. We strongly condemn any form of racism and express our support for our internationally educated staff who make invaluable contribution to nursing and midwifery care delivery across NI. @Kieranpmccormic

Thank you @LindaDillon81 on behalf of those affected by #ovariancancer and for whom this may be their last option for treatment. #CancerKnowsNoBorders
Sinn Féin MLA Linda Dillon has told of her written letter to the Health Minister to ask for clarity on the availability of mirvetuximab soravtansine to treat ovarian cancer. She said it is another example of women and their families being “failed” by the Northern Irish health system.
