For girls ages 12 to 17, the proportion of visits to the E.R. for tics nearly tripled during the pandemic as of January 2022. Visits also doubled for eating disorders, and there were increases related to anxiety, trauma and stress and obsessive-compulsive disorders.

Survey findings:
-Recruitment & retention concerns & hundreds of vacancies contribute to months-long waitlists & an 11% decrease in the number of individuals served vs. '19.
-In 21, for every ten master’s level clinician hired, approximately 13 left their positions.
