The Brooklyn Nets have won 2 playoff series in a 19-year span. Fans have every right to be upset and bash the organization. Put a good product on the floor and it’ll stop.
I’ll give marks blame like not drafting Raynaud and not tanking hard enough in 24 25. But the constant ripping the man when we are rebuilding, it’s annoying. Rebuilds require patience. But Knicks won it all and it’s been a bashfest of the organization. Just absurd, just want people to stay on that side
The Brooklyn Nets socials are laying so low right now man, they have one post on Twitter in the last two weeks.
Seems like they know that this fanbase is on the brink of absolute chaos with one wrong move. (Marks should be extremely nervous)
I do wonder if the Pelicans would have any interest of trading Herb Jones. Quite a few injuries the last 2 years and is coming off his worst offensive season.
Could need a change of scenery, one of the leagues premier defenders still. I’d atleast make the call.
The New York Knicks building their roster via free agent signings and trades, then winning an NBA title has given me the most hope that I’ve had in a long time that the Nets can SOME DAY do it. It can be done, even when you miss out on the top draft prospects.
Congrats 🫡
LeBron James called the World Cup “the greatest sporting event” he’s ever been to back in 2014.
Soon after that, he announced his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers from the Miami Heat.
Will history repeat itself? 🤔
Darius Acuff talks defense and guarding his matchup with Draymond
“You can ask any of my coaches in college, no matter how many defensive mistakes I made every night, if they tried to put me on a 2 or a 3, I'm like 'man I'm not guarding no 3, I play the point man, I'm guarding the point guard man' especially if it's like a matchup... like if I'm not guarding you and you not guarding me, it ain't no matchup, we just hooping out here so I definitely like to guard my matchup.”
I’ve changed my roster building philosophy a little the past few weeks.
Ideally, the Brooklyn Nets would be able to follow a cookie-cutter way of building their roster but with missing out on top picks both times, that just isn’t possible.
So the first step to building is being somewhat competitive and competent, Austin Reaves helps make that happen.
Nets have enough capital to move off of anyone that isn’t worth their contract down the line as well. Become a playoff caliber team and then go from there.
Here is what I would give Michael Porter Jr. as far as an extension goes:
3-year $110 million extension on top of last year of current deal
2026: $40,806,150
2027: $38,537,020
2028: $36,610,169
2029: $34,852,810
Thoughts?
Ive seen people bringing up that it’s a little steep, however I think the AAV will have to be a little higher due to it being a 3 year deal. Also have seen people bringing up bumping up 26’ to $49 million, which I’m no cap savant so I’d need better explained how that works.
