The night before his assassination, Charlie Kirk met with Israeli national Rabbi Pesach Wolicki to discuss how to “defend Israel effectively” on campus, according to Wolicki.
During their conversation, Kirk was arguing for the anti-Israel side, even if only rhetorically. “He was working out talking points, playing the role of devil’s advocate, pushing us on these issues, trying to sharpen the iron,” Wolicki said.
“He was in a combative mood, which is good. He was preparing for debates and attacks,” the rabbi added.
