On #WorldPatientSafetyDay, Dr Calandra Feather, medical safety researcher with @PSRC_NWL and Clinical Safety Officer @dosiumuk, talks us through Touchdose, a system which ensures that patients are prescribed the right treatment at the right dose, helping to reduce prescribing errors.

⏰ 💲 The Japanese universal health insurance system introduced a financial incentive for ICU patients if rehabilitation is started within 48 hours of the admission.
🏥 This study showed that introducing the fee promoted early rehabilitation of ICU patients, but there was no statistically significant change in the mean length of ICU or hospital stay.
