Vtubing is one of the few spaces that care a lot about mental health and some people take advantage of that in order to be babied/spoiled by their communities
There's nothing wrong with struggling, but if you remain complacent without any self improvement then that's on you

If the vtubing community took misandry & heterophobia as seriously as it takes misogyny & homophobia, a whole lot more people than anyone wants to admit would disappear.

The number of posts I've seen that would've put people on the 5:00 vtuber news if they'd simply switched the genders or orientations mentioned is appalling. And it just never gets touched on by hardly anyone, because at the end of the day, that's socially acceptable here.

I'm being 100% serious when I say that if you think posting about men's mental health month is "grifting" or "performative" or makes someone a "pick-me," but posting about pride month isn't & doesn't, then you're part of the problem.

Because I've seen this a LOT the past couple weeks.
Posts will be nigh 1:1 on tone and wording, but the one for men gets derided and demeaned but the one for pride gets cheered and applauded. In a lot of cases actually, a lot MORE care and effort goes into the men's health posts

I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.

"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.

Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
