A great morning for baseball at PNC Park! ☀️ Over 200 youth from Pirates Training Centers took the field for a special clinic presented by @CleanAutoWash! Athletes rotated through skill stations, learned from PTC coaches, and were given a Pirates t-shirt as well as a ticket to a future game this season!

We're teaming up with @sheetz to deliver summer food boxes to local families in need and help bridge the gap between the school year and summer meal programs. Along the way, we're also celebrating teachers and school staff with end-of-year treats and special classroom visits. This year, the Pirates and Sheetz doubled our donation to support even more of the community! 🫶

Congratulations to Paul Skenes, who was named the Players Trust’s Most Valuable Philanthropist for June.   Paul will be awarded a $10,000 grant in support of his work helping veterans and first responders through the Gary Sinise Foundation. The Players Trust’s MVP award will be given six times this season to players who demonstrate an altruistic spirit and positive social impact beyond the diamond. Congratulations, Paul!

Alongside A Glimmer of Hope, Pirates Charities welcomed breast cancer survivors, patients, and their families to PNC Park for a day centered around hope, support, and baseball. Don Kelly and our coaching staff helped make it a day to remember. 🖤💛

This morning, we hosted our 5th Annual Pirates Charities Family Walk, an event that brings together fans to combat the ongoing mental health crisis in our community. Participants had the unique experience of walking through PNC Park, meeting with players, coaches, and their families. Post-walk, participants ended on the field to soak in a truly unique and memorable moment. The event concluded engaging with local non-profits offering mental health resources. #PCFamilyWalk

Special Olympics Pennsylvania officially kicked off its Summer Games today at PNC Park with the Be a Fan Torch Run.

We had a great morning at our Special Olympics Torch Lighting and Run here at PNC Park! Thank you, Special Olympics Pennsylvania Association (SOPA) for joining us. The program included speeches from SOPA leadership and local and state dignitaries. Additionally, local law enforcement joined Special Olympics athletes for a lap around the bases before beginning their relay run to State College.

Yesterday, Pirates Charities had the honor of joining the Field For Kids program in celebration of renovating Meyersdale Youth Baseball field. The event included an on-field ceremony, ticket drawing for prizes, Pierogi Race, and first pitch by our very own, @Pirate_Parrot!

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Penelope Byler, a friend of @LendingHearts, to the game. Penelope is a rhabdomyosarcoma survivor and has been in remission since 2019. Bryan Reynolds hosted her special day at the ballpark as she was able to watch BP with her 10U softball team, play catch on the field, throw out the first pitch, and even hold the finish line for the Pierogi Race! Her and her friends/family were special guests of Bob Nutting as they watched the game from a World Series suite. We're so proud of Penelope and her continued strength and resilience 🖤💛

This morning, a couple of Pirates players and mascots met up at @sheetz to welcome a group from the Special Olympics. The athletes were able to fuel up on their favorite snacks and MTO items before they compete today! 💪

This week, Paul surprised over 600 local high school students at the 171sst Refueling Wing for All Star Leadership Day, where they learned what a career in the Air Force looks like.
