Hello Troops and Friends, I hope everyone is having a blessed day.
Sometimes Vets tell me they don't feel worthy of a Buddy Check because they never saw combat. I tell them every job in the military is important.
Just like a well oiled machine, if one part is missing, nothing is fully operational, which can lead to heavy consequences.
Delivering mail brings blessings from home. Cooks keep service members well fed and healthy. So many jobs that never get recognized or mentioned, yet without them, our military would be at a great disadvantage.
Those who fuel are just as important as those who fly.
There is nothing to be ashamed of. Whatever job you did, I know you served well, with pride, dignity, and honor. I have much respect to you for that.
Being called a veteran means so much more than a word, or job description. Being a veteran means you were drafted, enlisted, and did your best. Selflessly serving. Giving it your all.
So yes, Buddy Checks are for you too.
No judgement. No criticism. No condemning. Just an honest, hey, how you doing? And if you need help, we're here and care.
We don't look at rank, years served, which wars, peacetime, combat or not. Every Veteran matters, and that includes you.
