Philly Show obvs:
- a LOT of people: jammed aisles, pungent air.
- customer-dealer argument re: dealer’s stickers being FIRM NO EXCEPTIONS.
- inexcusable restroom situation for a crowd that size. One men’s rm had ONE urinal, the other had 4.
… But cards will never not be fun.

re: The dealer who doesn’t like comps….
For certain cards — like Kobe, MJ Metal — buyers should know that dealers may be getting those cards at the comp (those cards aren’t in bargain bins), so a bump in resell $ is expected.
Also, 80-90% of show buyers are sellers. That too.

What would you have done?
Friend of mine is building a 68T set and recently purchased the Ryan (not one depicted) for $800 at a large NE show from a dealer who has sold vintage there for 40 years.
Friend got it home, bindered, and realized it was trimmed….

(2/2) I encouraged friend to see if the dealer would work w/ him at next show.
There, dealer said he didn’t recall the customer and basically shooed him away.
Friend is now trying to recoup some $ by selling the trimmed Ryan as a trim.
Should he have gone to the show promoter?

1961 Min size stars - these are what's called "Minimum size". That means they were cut wrong at the factory and are too short on one side. They are near Mint, but will not grade! They are off by 1/8 of an inch or so. They are not trimmed! They are beautiful cards and worthy of your collection.
