Do you all remember the 2014 Spurs/Heatles Finals?
The Spurs played some of the most beautiful basketball I've ever seen.
Hoping Tiago is able to bring that unselfish style to Chicago.
Tiago Splitter was a key contributor on the Spurs 2014 title team. He's also been an assistant coach with the Nets and Rockets and a former head coach for Paris Basketball in the Euro league. As an interim HC for Portland last yr, the Blazers went 42-39 and made the playoffs.

Splitter led Paris Basketball to French Cup, LNB Elite title and EuroLeague playoff playoff berth as head coach in 2024-25. He served as assistant coach with Nets and Rockets before that head coaching experience and then Portland head man last season.

The Knicks are an example of smart, courageous team building. Firing Thibs for Mike Brown was a ballsy decision by the Knicks. One of many that got them to this point. RJ & Quickley for OG, trading a 1st for Hart, signing Brunson to a big deal, the Randle for KAT deal, sending a ton of picks for Bridges, and moves around the edges like adding Shamet and Alvarado. Some teams are built through the draft. The Knicks were built through masterful trades and signings. Big time credit to Leon Rose and that New York front office.

Putting this tribute together brought back so many memories.
Some of my favorites weren’t in an arena or on camera, but on the road..sitting across from each other on flights, laughing, and talking about life.
