Miami food media isn't as independent as many people think. Who gets paid? Who gets free meals? Who runs restaurant social media accounts while also recommending those same restaurants? My issue isn't the money. It's the lack of transparency. patreon.com/burgerbeast/post…

Everyone talks about cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. I'm more interested in the ones hiding in Westchester, Hialeah, Kendall, South Miami, and Doral. Did I miss one? burgerbeast.com/cheesesteaks… #MiamiFood #CheesesteakDayAnyDay

Buc-ee's is where you stop for gas and somehow leave with a cart full of snacks, jerky, baked goods, and things you didn't know you needed. I just updated my guide to what to eat, buy, & expect on your next Buc-ee's road trip stop: burgerbeast.com/bucees-road-… #bucees #roadtripfood

Like, but not the same. The closest ones I’ve found are available at select KFC locations.
Checkers & Bucees have fried apple pies like this. They are awesome

If you're considering anything from number 4, then you haven't eaten enough South Florida burgers.
1. Gramps Getaway 2. Over Under 3. Off Site (now No Seasons) 4. Maybe the McLala at Lala’s? Don’t have a clear #5 yet, a lot of contenders. But feel strongly about 1-3.

I believe that in the 1930s, White Castle's small smashed balls of beef with onions on a soft squishy bun arrived in Cuba and evolved into the frita.
Replying to @BurgerBeast
Growing up in Little Havana I never considered the frita to be a burger. A burger is a burger (and I ate plenty of those and loved them), but a frita is a frita.

Based on my research, it’s Cuba’s answer to the 🍔. The Frita is also considered one of the Regional Burger Speciaties that make up the U.S. So my final answer is yes, but I also believe that it’s much more than “just” a burger.
1 thing that my father taught me very young in business is use your trusted sources, delegate accordingly or other great business leaders will crush U like a grape. So, I'm calling into the bullpen here & getting my Ace out 4 this question. @BurgerBeast Sef, is a Frita a Burger?
