R.I.P. King. 🥀
Weirdly enough I have more memories of the fake Gene Shalit Twitter account that made punny reviews of new movies, but has sadly been inactive for almost a full decade. 💔
Not that this really matters, but I periodically check out the stats for my Ultraman NJ stage show video from almost 7 months ago and it's almost going to hit 2k views. That really isn't a lot but for me that's pretty wild to consider that many people watched *any* of the video.
I still periodically check Letterboxd to see if anybody watched this movie other than me, one Japanese person, and one Brazilian person. For now I'm the only one to have written a review for it. 😅
A new #ThrowBuThursday for you folks. This is a piece by @JoshSphinx from around 2020. A totally excellent royal Bu, fit to be modeled as a statue. 👑🗽🍩
Stunt actor Sina Ali did a lot of work as Skeletor for the new MOTU movie and I love seeing a photo that shows how little CGI was used on the suit. I'm also going to low-key call him the actual actor playing Skeletor in the movie from now on. (photo via instagram.com/sinastunts/)
Still going through Kamen Rider Agito and enjoying it. Some of the monster designs are wild. So many people had to approve the decision to give these guys nipples and here they are on full display.
My blood ran ice cold when I realized last week was the 20th anniversary of me graduating high school. I found the old mini-DVD camcorder footage I made of the event to confirm.
If I'm able to put any sort of positive spin on it, I definitely can continue to argue that any bad faith claims that people don't go to the movies anymore can be thoroughly disregarded.
Evening movie time. Rented this one because it has big "We have Masters of the Universe (2026) at home" energy, but it's so much dumber than that, lmao.
