Every single thing that the Conservative Party is doing and which is now horrifying centrists is something which they were warned about years in advance. The manner of the warning did not matter. All warnings - calm and careful, furious and unrestrained - were ignored.

The boat in the English Channel was believed by relatives to have stopped functioning in UK maritime territory around 1am. Survivors claim that people stayed alive clinging to the boat until sunlight.
