Our alumni are SWINGING FOR THE FENCES! @BHSGoBigBlue student-athlete alum, standout member of @Bwickbaseball, and current member of the @peoriachiefs, the High-A affiliate of the @Cardinals, Josh Kross, wears a reset button on his wrist. Strike out? Reset. Make an error? Reset. It's working! In his second full pro season with the High-A Peoria Chiefs, the 2024 sixth-round Cardinals pick is hitting .282 with eight home runs and a .373 on-base percentage. Kross switch hits, catches, and plays first base, keeping him in the lineup all but a handful of games this season. He focuses on consistency and process over daily results, bouncing back quickly after each six-game series and putting in the weight room work to stay ready. Those are the habits high school sports teach: show up, do the small things right, be versatile, and don't let a bad moment become a bad week. His goal is the big leagues, and he plans to get there by giving it his all, leaning on his faith, and trusting the process. No shortcuts in the minors. None in high school either.
