Correct.
I read a devotional about peace this AM.
I find myself just enveloped in this app and most of the time it gives me the opposite of peace, I feel angry for various unhealthy reasons; the success of others, underperforming, feeling like a failure, etc.
it’s important to remember that peace comes from the Lord, not this world or anything it has to offer.
Peace Begins With God:
Everyone searches for peace, but most people search for it in places that can’t sustain it.
We try to find peace in control, comfort, achievement, or the approval of others.
But Scripture teaches that peace isn’t found in a situation — it’s found in a Savior.
Ephesians 2:14 says that Jesus Himself is our peace. That means peace is not something we chase; it’s Someone we come to.
Real peace begins when we stop trying to hold everything together on our own strength and instead turn our attention toward God.
Jesus offers a peace the world cannot give (John 14:27). His peace isn’t fragile, temporary, or dependent on everything going right. It’s rooted in His presence — steady, unchanging, and always available.
Often, the reason we don’t feel peace is because we’re trying to manage life apart from God. We rush, worry, plan, and problem‑solve, but we forget to pause and acknowledge the One who holds all things together.
Peace begins the moment we turn our hearts toward Him and say, “Lord, I need You here.”
Today, take a moment to slow down. Breathe deeply. Remind yourself that God is near. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to understand everything. You don’t have to carry everything.
Peace begins with surrender — not the kind that gives up, but the kind that gives over.
When you place your life, your concerns, and your future in God’s hands, you make room for His peace to settle into your soul.
Let today be a reset. Let it be the moment you stop striving for peace and start receiving it from the One who loves you.
Prayer: Lord, I come to You today acknowledging that real peace comes from You alone. Help me stop striving and start resting in Your presence. Quiet my heart, steady my thoughts, and remind me that You are near. I surrender my worries and invite Your peace to fill me. Amen.
