Useful thread. But I mean — the variety of food of what Americans eat can be a bit broader. Just saying.
In China, one would be asking about the best dai pai dong, the best clay pot rice, the best brine dishes, the best stir fry, the best coconut chicken, the best Yunnan bistro etc. Even for breakfast, you got congee, Cheung fun, dim sum etc.
