DELAWARE MOVES TO BAN BITCOIN ATMS Delaware’s House Economic Development Committee has advanced House Bill 441, a proposal that would prohibit all crypto ATMs statewide. If passed by the state Senate and signed into law, existing machines would have to be removed within 90 days. Lawmakers cite rising fraud linked to crypto ATMs. The move follows similar restrictions or bans pursued in Indiana, Tennessee, and Minnesota.

The average rate of fraud across various financial sectors is between 3-5%. On a bitcoin ATM it’s less than 2% (because we are so heavily regulated). This has nothing to do with “fraud” and everything to do with eliminating cash which creates a de facto CBDC via the digital dollar.

This is incredibly difficult and infuriating for us to watch. Our hearts go out to Karen and everyone else who has been scammed whether it was via the Postal Service, their telephone carrier or their own bank. Hacks, scams and phishing schemes come from all directions and this is why we have such an extensive anti fraud program in place that includes customer support based right here in the US. Neither consumers nor businesses can be paranoid enough. We’ll be waiting for the USPS to be charged with facilitating grand larceny.
