2027 speedster outfielder Christian ’CJ’ Peterson, had a phenomenal weekend at the plate. Quick hands allow him to get around on the ball and burn outfielders twice! @cj_peterson2027 @The_CAAdvantage

“If you’re good enough, they’ll find you.” One of the biggest myths in recruiting. Good enough for who?
And who is “they”? Good enough to play college baseball? Maybe. But the RIGHT fit finding you in today’s landscape?
Not likely. Between roster limits, the transfer portal, geography, budgets, and sheer numbers, players must be proactive. The right fit usually doesn’t just magically find you.

The biggest benefit of working with College Athlete Advantage is the relationship built between the advisor and the player. The more time invested, the deeper the understanding of the player personally and athletically which ultimately leads to better advice and better outcomes.

13 commitments this month and every one reinforces the same lesson: The goal isn’t just to play college baseball. The goal is to find the right fit. When players have a plan, communicate the right way, and stay consistent… results follow.

Parents, stop narrowing your student-athlete’s college list too early! 🚫 It feels logical… but it usually backfires: fewer options, more pressure, and that stressful “we’re behind” feeling. 😣 Instead, cast a wide but intentional net — 50 schools that match your athlete’s talent, academics, and goals. You’ll get more coach responses, discover hidden gem schools, and actually feel more in control of the process. 👍 Want help building a smart, broad target list for your athlete? 📩 DM us or comment below to book your free consultation today! #CollegeRecruiting #StudentAthlete #AthleteParents #Collegeathletics #collegesports

Here's an attitude I hear from high school players occasionally: "If my only options for playing college baseball are D3, then I'll just go to school." There's nothing wrong with "just going to school," but I generally struggle with this attitude. I think... - Have you seen a D3 baseball game? Do you REALLY understand how good D3 baseball is? (Note: It's better than most people think) - If you think you're "better than D3," why not prove it by being a D3 All-American your freshman year and then transfer up? (Note: Most (if not all) D3 All-Americans are good enough to play at a "higher level") - Isn't playing college baseball anywhere better than not playing at all? I understand that all players will have to "hang up the cleats at some point" and should get to decide for themselves when that point is without judgment...but I also suspect a some players miss out on a great college baseball experience (and a great education) only because their ego tells them they're "too good for D3." If you're reading this as a player who would choose just going to school over D3 baseball, I'd love to know why. Feel free to comment below.
