College coaches aren’t looking for perfection this weekend. They’re looking for competitors. Athletes who hustle. Athletes who respond to adversity. Athletes who support teammates. Athletes who keep showing up. Play free. Play confident. Let your hard work shine 🥎

My name is Jennifer and I help softball athletes with the recruiting process. As a former D1 college outfielder and lefty slapper I had no idea where to start with the recruiting process. I spent countless hours figuring out what to say, where to send the emails, and trying to decide where I fit in the college softball world. I spent most of my senior year stressing out. This is why I started helping girls with the recruiting process and it has been so rewarding. Here is what I offer: Advisement from me (Coach Jennifer Turner) Profile on College Athlete Advantage Player Evaluation (1 per year) Help with Emails Analytics report Messaging system Help with skills video Help with game footage videos Calling coaches on her behalf (as long as she is able to play there) Camp advice & More I use an online platform through College Athlete Advantage. 🚨 THERE IS NO PERFECT RECRUITING TIMELINE 🚨 One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is believing recruiting follows a predictable schedule. It doesn’t. The recruiting landscape is constantly changing. A coach you spoke with last month might take a new job tomorrow. A school that wasn’t recruiting your position may suddenly have an opening because a player transferred. A roster that looked full can change overnight. Players leave. Coaches leave. Needs change. And that’s exactly why comparing your journey to someone else’s is so dangerous. The athlete who committed as a freshman is not on the same path as the athlete who commits as a senior. Neither path is wrong. The truth is recruiting has always been fluid, but today it feels more unpredictable than ever. So what can you control? ✅ Your development ✅ Your communication ✅ Your effort ✅ Your preparation ✅ Your attitude Trusting the process doesn’t mean sitting back and hoping something happens. It means having confidence that you’re doing the right things consistently, even when the results aren’t immediate. Keep improving. Keep building relationships. Keep putting yourself in front of the right schools. Your opportunity can appear when you least expect it. Stay ready for it. 🥎 — Coach Jennifer Turner

🎓 Choosing a College? Start With Your Values. One of the biggest mistakes I see athletes make during the recruiting process is chasing a logo, ranking, or division before they identify what truly matters to them. The right school isn’t always the biggest name. It’s the place where you can thrive academically, athletically, and personally. Before you make a commitment, ask yourself: ✅ Does this school support my future career goals? ✅ Do I trust the coaching staff? ✅ Can I see myself fitting into the team culture? ✅ Is there a realistic opportunity to compete? ✅ Does the campus feel like a place I can call home? ✅ Is it a financial fit for my family? When your recruiting decisions are guided by your values, the process becomes clearer, less stressful, and much more intentional. Your values are your recruiting compass. They help you find the right fit—not just the most popular option.

🚨 STOP WAITING FOR THE PERFECT MOMENT. 🚨 Most athletes think recruiting success comes from one big tournament, one viral highlight, or one coach email. It doesn’t. It comes from the small things done consistently. ✅ Send 3 emails this week ✅ Research 2 schools that fit you ✅ Update your profile ✅ Film one new skill video ✅ Show up early and prepared The athletes who reach their recruiting goals aren’t always the most talented. They’re often the most consistent. Don’t focus on everything you need to accomplish this year. Focus on what you can do today. Small goals ➡️ Big results. 🥎 What is ONE recruiting goal you’re committing to this week? — Coach Jennifer Turner

🚨 If A Coach Hasn’t Responded To Your Email Yet… Read This 🚨 Most athletes make one of two mistakes: ❌ They email a coach once and never follow up. OR ❌ They email every few days hoping for a response. Neither strategy works. Here’s what college coaches actually want: ✅ Consistent communication ✅ Meaningful updates ✅ Athletes who show genuine interest Recruiting isn’t about getting an immediate response. It’s about staying on a coach’s radar long enough for an opportunity to open. A coach may not need your position today. They may need it next month. They may need it after a decommitment. They may need it after seeing you play one more time. That’s why the athletes who stay visible are often the athletes who get recruited. 📈 Recruiting interest is built over time—not in a single email. Send updates every 2–3 weeks. Share new video. Share updated stats. Share tournament schedules. Share accomplishments. Keep showing up. The athlete who communicates professionally and consistently is much harder to forget than the athlete who disappears. Recruiting is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay visible. Stay proactive. Stay in the conversation. — Coach Jennifer Turner 🥎

🚨 THE BIGGEST RECRUITING MISTAKE I SEE? 🚨 Too many athletes wait until their junior or senior year to start thinking about recruiting. The athletes who put themselves in the best position aren’t always the most talented. They’re the ones who prepare early. 🥎 Freshman Year: Build your foundation. 📚 Sophomore Year: Start building relationships and visibility. 📞 Junior Year: Communicate consistently and get connected. 🎓 Senior Year: Lock in opportunities and finish strong. Recruiting isn’t one big moment. It’s hundreds of small steps taken over four years. Every email. Every camp. Every classroom assignment. Every practice. Every interaction. They all matter. The athletes who understand that recruiting is a process—not an event—give themselves the most options when it’s time to make a decision. Don’t wait until coaches are recruiting. Prepare now so you’re ready when they are. 💡 Don’t hope for opportunity. Prepare for it. If you’re a softball player or parent who wants help creating a recruiting plan based on your graduation year, send me a message. Coach Jennifer Turner 🥎

🚨 STOP OVERCOMPLICATING RECRUITING 🚨 One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is chasing logos instead of chasing fit. The recruiting process becomes much simpler when you ask yourself one question: "Where am I good enough to play and have an impact?" Too many athletes spend their time focusing on schools that may not match their current ability level while overlooking programs that could be a great fit academically, athletically, and personally. The goal isn't to get recruited by the biggest name. The goal is to find the place where you can:
✔ Get on the field
✔ Continue developing
✔ Earn a quality education
✔ Enjoy your college experience
✔ Make an impact on a program There are amazing opportunities at every level of college softball. Division I.
Division II.
Division III.
NAIA.
JUCO. The athletes who find success in recruiting are often the ones who honestly evaluate where they fit and aggressively pursue those opportunities. Don't overcomplicate the process. Know your value.
Know your level.
Build relationships with programs that fit. The right fit will always be more important than the biggest logo.

🚨 INCOMING SENIORS: THIS SUMMER MATTERS 🚨 If you’re a 2027 graduate, this is one of the most important recruiting windows you’ll have. College coaches are actively evaluating athletes, building recruiting boards, attending showcases, and identifying future recruits. The athletes who stand out aren’t always the most talented. They’re the ones who are visible. They’re the ones communicating. They’re the ones creating opportunities for coaches to find them. That’s where I help. As a former Division I softball player and Recruiting Advisor with College Athlete Advantage, I work one-on-one with athletes to help them navigate the recruiting process and get in front of college coaches. 🥎 Here’s what I help athletes with: ✔ Building a recruiting plan tailored to their goals ✔ Creating and optimizing their recruiting profile ✔ Identifying schools that fit academically and athletically ✔ Writing and sending effective coach emails ✔ Developing communication strategies with college coaches ✔ Creating skills videos and recruiting content ✔ Understanding camps, showcases, and visit opportunities ✔ Tracking coach engagement and interest ✔ Learning how to advocate for themselves throughout the process Most athletes don’t need more talent. They need a plan. The recruiting process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is simple: Help athletes find the right fit — academically, athletically, and personally. 🎯 If you’re an incoming senior and want to maximize your recruiting opportunities this summer, let’s connect. 📩 Send me a DM with the word “SENIOR” and let’s talk about your recruiting goals. The right opportunity could be one conversation away. 🥎

🚨 Looking for a Recruiting Advisor to Join Our Team 🥎 @sb_caadvantage The recruiting landscape is changing fast, and more athletes than ever need guidance navigating the process. Because of that growth, I’m looking to bring on another recruiting advisor who is passionate about helping athletes find the right college softball opportunities. Someone who understands that recruiting is about: • Educating athletes and families • Helping players target the right schools • Building relationships with college coaches • Teaching athletes how to advocate for themselves The right person will: ✔ Have a strong softball background (playing or coaching) ✔ Believe in honesty and transparency in recruiting ✔ Enjoy mentoring high school athletes ✔ Want to make a real impact on athletes’ futures Our goal has always been simple: Help athletes find the right fit — academically, athletically, and personally. Not the flashiest school. The right school.
