Did you know? CDCR Fire Department (CDCR FIRE) operates 23 firehouses at institutions across California. Each firehouse consists of a Fire Chief who oversees Fire Captains and Incarcerated Firefighters.

In 2025, CDCR firehouses collectively responded to approximately 10,000 emergency calls – 75% of which were mutual aid requests. CDCR FIRE responds to structural fires, medical aids, car accidents, wildland and vegetation fires, and hazardous materials. #CDCRFIRE

The 23rd cohort of the #CulinaryArts Program offered by @Cuesta_College and the California Men’s Colony graduated March 19. Individuals who completed the program spent the course working hands-on in a commercial kitchen, building culinary skills, and earning their ServSafe cert.
