🚨 CDPH has released proposed emergency regulations for hospice agencies. With the public comment period opening June 11, hospice providers have a limited opportunity to provide feedback on requirements that could significantly impact operations and compliance. Our comments highlight concerns regarding inadequate payment updates, the proposed Service and Spending Variation Index (SSVI), and additional administrative requirements that may increase provider burden without effectively addressing fraud, waste, and abuse. CAHSAH supports targeted, data-driven oversight and practical solutions that protect beneficiaries, strengthen the workforce, and preserve access to compassionate end-of-life care.
