Our Peace Officers have completed the challenging Regular Basic Course (RBC), a P.O.S.T.-certified program that develops the skills needed for law enforcement, from community engagement and investigations to defensive tactics and fitness.
Our Company Officers have successfully completed extensive leadership and professional development training, preparing them to lead crews, make critical decisions, and support emergency operations across the state.

CAL FIRE firefighters serve in a variety of roles, including firefighters assigned to engines and hand crews.
🚒Engine firefighters provide all-risk emergency response (structure fires, medical aid, hazmat), in addition to responding to wildfires. CAL FIRE engines are staffed with three or four firefighters.
🔨Hand crew firefighters are primarily used during wildfires to cut fireline — clearing vegetation down to bare dirt to help slow or stop a fire’s advance. When not assigned to active wildfires, hand crews also support fuels reduction work by thinning overgrown vegetation in targeted areas.

ALT North winds 15-25 mph with gusts 30-40 mph. Daytime RH 9-15%. Overnight RH 25-50%. Easier fire starts and potential for rapid spread of fire. Fire safety precautions should be exercised to prevent fires. Always have an emergency plan for if a fire starts near you.
