We’re monitoring a shooting at Brown University, which comes on the second day of final exams. Students, faculty, and staff are living in fear tonight as yet another act of gun violence shakes our communities.
We stand with the Brown community in horror, holding them in our hearts tonight as we wait for more information. Gun violence is a crisis, and every one of these moments is preventable.

School should not sound like gunfire.
Today, students at Brown University were forced into a reality no one should ever have to prepare for. Gun violence has become a constant threat in American education, from elementary schools to college campuses, because our so-called leaders refuse to act.
This is not inevitable. It is the result of policy choices that continue to put lives at risk.

Mia Tretta was a student at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California when a gunman opened fired on her classmates. She was shot in the stomach and lost her best friend.

In response to Trump's EO, ATF released an update to a Biden-era policy where ATF revoked gun dealer licenses after serious & willful violations, incl. selling to prohibited purchasers.
DOJ ended the policy & ATF is now encouraging dealers who had licenses revoked to reapply
