Pope Francis' legacy will be his compassion for the marginalized, stewardship of the Earth, and humility. Like all people, he was imperfect, but pushed for crucial reforms to the Catholic Church. As we remember his life, let us embrace these shared, interfaith tenets of kindness.

This is an important win for religious freedom! Christian nationalism is on the rise in Louisiana and across the country, but Americans of all beliefs can unite against it.

"Government employees should not be able to coerce or pressure children in public school on how or when to pray. That’s exactly what happened in this case, and it’s a violation of religious freedom."
Today, in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a Washington state public school violated the First Amendment rights of a football coach who was disciplined for praying with students on the 50-yard line immediately after games.

1. McMorrow: "My mother taught me ... Christianity and faith (is) about being part of a community, about recognizing our privilege and blessings and doing what we can to be of service to others — especially people who are marginalized, targeted, and who had less, often unfairly."
Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself. Hate wins when people like me stand by and let it happen. I won't.
