Last week I had idiots on this app chastising me after I said that
@JonathonCooper7 should be cut if it turns out these allegations are true. Now the majority of
#BroncosCountry is calling for him to be cut. There's no physical pain worse than a broken heart. I feel for him, and hope the best for him, but he can't continue to make these mistakes.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by 9NEWS Investigates, Cooper sent the woman 20 individual text messages, called her twice, and then went to her apartment and knocked on the door - which his now-ex-girlfriend recorded through a peephole. Among the messages laid out in court documents are ones where Cooper told the woman he wanted to have sex with her. In other messages, prosecutors allege, were an attempt by him to get the woman to violate a court order that barred her from having contact with him.
"Please, I won't betray you," one message read.
In all, Cooper now faces five separate charges:
*Second-degree assault-strangulation
*Third-degree assault-knowingly or recklessly causing injury
*Criminal mischief -- $300-$1,000
*Violating a protective order
*Harassment-repeated telephone calls
