Here's something that might cost me my sanity and something I will probably regret!
In anticipation of the culmination of The Multiverse Saga with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, I am planning to watch/re-watch EVERY MARVEL MOVIE AND TV SHOW EVER MADE!
First up is Captain America (1944).
Honestly, I went into this with negative expectations ngl, I was pleasantly surprised by it. I'm glad to be diving into some classic Golden Age serial history!
S01E12: The Dream Master
Happy apparently likes Pepper yet he literally quits and runs away to Ireland cuz Tony doesn't pay him any attention!?!
MAKE UP UR MIND! DAMN!
He literally says, "I was just the fifth wheel!"
NOT the plot I expected from an Iron Man cartoon! 🤣😂
Alright next up is Captain America (1966)
This one genuinely surprised me. I went in expecting an animated show only to find out it's basically a motion comic!!
And... they literally photocopied Jack Kirby’s comic book panels, cut them out, n moved them across the screen.
S01E01: Peril In The Surface World
Okay, the animation here is actually a HUGE step up from the previous slideshows!
Namor literally takes the time to RECHARGE his powers, to get back to full strength, and then immediately gets captured in a NET anyway?
Make it make sense!
S01E01: Double Disaster
Love when an episode just introduces itself by threatening the audience.
But I did get to watch Iron Man turn himself into a literal human fan, so we're off to a strong start.
I respect the commitment to nonsense!
