Whether it is the energy of the HS boys, the excitement of the MS girls and boys, or the notable improvement of the HS girls, summer S&C is underway and going strong every M/W/Th morning.

Members of the football team attended the baseball game to cheer on their fellow Comets! We used the portable bleachers to make a premier spot located near the concession stand. Look for us at a softball game later this summer!

During the 4th quarter, we tracked roster participation in areas of spring sports, S&C, academics, goal setting, community service as well as other areas. Our top three “Comet Pride Point” earners are pictured: Tyler Heitz, 2nd, Cullen Heeren 1st, and Micah Thompson 3rd.

Summer strength and conditioning is right around the corner! Be there and become a better athlete! We will lift three days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and will have four lift sections available.

Since 2023, 1,300 Iowa students have gained leadership skills through officiating classes. Iowa now ranks 10th nationally in @RefReps students and 8th in participating schools.

Sleep! The topic of sleep was our focus during our last leadership training.

I was in the room with @NDSUfootball a month ago. The standards Coach Wells describes here are real, and they’re intentional.
This move didn’t happen overnight. Throughout this program, they operate with FBS standards.
And one of those standards? They treat sleep like performance fuel. 👊🤘#GoBison

Tonight is the final home game as we recognize our seniors at Comet Field. The Comets are playing the #1 ranked Clear Lake Lions. Varsity at 7:30 PM with 9/10 at 5:00 PM.

Wk 8 took us to Bethany Alliance Church for team dinner. Great hosts who were very welcoming & generous. It is a blessing to be able to have a meal together each week. Season captains Bennett Hansen & Luke Jacobs will be joined by game captains Blake Dean & Tyler Heitz.

Week 7 team dinner took us to Ginger’s Top Shelf in Floyd, IA. Salad, burgers, chicken, mac & cheese along with cake - it was EXCELLENT food! Game captains Tyler Heitz and Micah Thompson will join season captains Bennett Hansen and Luke Jacobs.
