👮♂️Officers have been out on Halesowen North and have conducted speed checks this evening in Woodbury Road, following requests from the residents. Happy to say that all vehicles were driving within the speed limit.🚗

Tommybob doesn't understand the graph. It's really embarrassing for him. The rates represent passenger miles, not the vehicle. Take SRN traffic away where bikes don't go, and only 84 deaths from 1,624 despite carrying 21% of traffic and all those bars—except cycling—skycraper.

To give an example of @WMPolice's indifference to everyday habitual road traffic offending, yesterday afternoon I watched a police van driver ignore two cars parked on zigzags while bullying their way out of a no right turn for a cheeky shortcut.
Setting the example there, lads.

A community #speedwatch "operation" is NOT enforcement @WMPolice @MoseleyHeathWMP @TahirAliMP. Local greys holding what may as well be a hairdryer, accompanied by a PCSO is not enforcement.
It's been 200 days since Birmingham City Council declared a road safety emergency.

Hello All - Lots of people asking about the cycle cortege so here are the plans: The full cortège will start with a muster at 2pm at Millhouses South Car Park- we will get lined up ready to follow cars at 2:15. The cortège will arrive at the Crem for 2:35 for the funeral at 2:45.

However, please call these what they are: motorcycles. To lean on the 'giving cyclists a bad name' trope this is exactly what you're doing whether intentional or not. Bad faith actors seize on this to misrepresent vulnerable road users.

I'm uncomfortable with this piece. Without producing any hard evidence Peter Walker appears to put the blame on the delivery cyclists. They can move at speed - and I am not excusing breaking any speed limits - but has Peter Walker got data to show they are more likely to cause collisions than other cyclists? If he hasn't, this comes close to smearing them.
