I’m happy for Spurs to be ambitious in the transfer market but we also need to be realistic. If ENIC want to be taken seriously by our fan base never mind other clubs they need to put their money where their mouth is and drop some serious cash on a top player.

I consider Spain a bad match up for us, probably more so than anyone else with their ability to keep the ball. Them drawing with Cape Verde was fun and all, but them coming 2nd in their group and us doing our job and winning ours would put them on our side of the draw

I understand that sports get Americanised. I’ve enough experience of it, and I’ve been in favour of a lot of US sports influences. But insulting the world by calling the introduction of a time out half way through each half, a ‘rehydration break’, is an insult to us all.

Keir Starmer and I disagree on many things, but good people across the political spectrum will welcome today’s verdicts, condemn these appalling attacks which seem to have been sponsored by Russia, and wish the PM and his family well.
Whatever our political differences, no one should face intimidation, threats or attacks because they hold public office.
Democracy is settled at the ballot box, not through fear or violence and definitely not through foreign interference from hostile countries.
