In November 2025, Ethiopia confirmed its first case of Marburg. Since then, the @CDCgov has partnered with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health (MoH) to respond quickly and effectively.  CDC subject matter experts deployed to South Ethiopia and Sidama regions to support infection prevention and control, laboratory testing strengthening, contact tracing, surveillance, and border health. As of December 6, the United States has donated five monoclonal antibody treatments and 600 Marburg vaccines to help stop the outbreak.  CDC and partner @OhioState Global One Health Initiative have mobilized resources to support training, lab kits, and supplies for frontline health workers. The United States, through CDC and other health agencies, will continue to stand firmly alongside the Ethiopian people to end this outbreak and ensure the people of Ethiopia and America remain safe from Marburg. #MarburgResponse #GlobalHealth
